"See something Say something” for smartphones
The MBTA See Say App provides riders with a convenient and discreet means of reporting suspicious activity immediately to the Transit Police. Through this app, riders can send pictures, text messages, and locations of suspicious activity to the MBTA Transit Police.
On the home screen of the app, riders have two simple options for contacting the Transit Police:
- The "Report a Problem" button enables riders to send text or photos directly to the Transit Police. To ensure confidentiality, the camera flash is automatically disabled when taking photos through the app. When reporting an issue, riders can select station locations and report categories to assist the transit police.
- The "Call Transit Police" button connects customers directly to the Transit Police.
The application is specifically designed for use on the T. If you submit a report in an area without cellular connectivity, it will be stored and sent once connectivity is restored. Moreover, the system is optimized to prioritize sending text messages before pictures so that the Transit Police receive reports as quickly as possible.
Additional Features
- Riders can sign up to receive MBTA T-Alerts through the app, staying informed about service delays and disruptions.
- BOLO alerts (Be On the Look Out) may also be displayed in SeeSay, providing information from the MBTA. For instance, SeeSay may present details about a missing person's last known whereabouts. If you spot this individual, you can either call or file a report with the Transit Police.
